Situated in Ayrshire on the west coast of Scotland, the town of Troon (meaning headline or point) is synonymous with the game of golf. Home to the historic Royal Troon Golf Club, which in 2004 hosted the 133rd Open Championship, the town boasts a total of six courses. Scotts particularly welcomes visiting golfing parties, who can relax after a long day on the course. Other attractions include the impressive Troon Yacht Haven, onto which Scotts faces, and the wide beaches and promenades of the North and South Sands.
